Michigan Lavender Festival While this fragrant purple flower is not native to Michigan, the state is becoming increasingly known for its lavender farms — and the Michigan Lavender Festival is a great way to learn more about them. Pickleball at Beacon Park The fastest-growing sport has arrived in downtown Detroit. Through a partnership between Come Play Detroit and Downtown Detroit Partnership, Beacon Park is offering pickleball on two courts that are well-lit for after-dark play.
